N$K: New Life for Old Money

opening of the NSK: Kapital to Capital exhibition at the Moderna Galerija in Ljubljana, members of one of the constituent collectives, Irwin, handed out envelopes marked “N$K”, with a dollar sign. Simultaneously, thousands of miles away in New York, Laibach, one of the other original NSK groups, held a concert where these envelopes were also distributed. Both sets of envelopes contained a new state artifact: NSK State currency.

Third International NSK State Dacha

The NSK State Dacha is an annual citizen-driven initiative and temporary sovereign zone in the central New Mexican Desert. NSK Citizens and guests are invited to spend a holiday evening in an old Norwegian style log villa located on Highland Hill, where it once overlooked tuberculosis sanitariums, a psychiatric asylum, and breathtakingly crimson sunsets.

Laibach in The Dark Ages

Laibach is collaborating with award winning director Milo Rau on ‘The Dark Ages’ theatre production for Bavarian State Theatre / IIPM, Munich. Within this context Laibach will perform a solo Munich show in Residenztheater on 11th April, 2015.

Laibach world tour 2015

Laibach embarks on a worldwide tour that includes four UK shows: Brighton’s Concorde 2 on 30 March, Glasgow’s Classic Grand on the 31 March, London’s Electric Ballroom on 2 April and Manchester’s Academy 2 on 3 April. The tour begins next month in Germany and includes a performance at the Kampnagel / Krass Festival in Hamburg on 14 February.

IRWIN - Dreams and Conflicts

The exhibition Dreams and Conflicts dedicate to the Slovenian group IRWIN, curated by Julia Draganović and Claudia Löffelholz of LaRete Art Projects, promoted and organised by the Galleria civica di Modena and the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Modena features a selection of works resulting from the close collaboration projects staged over the years by the collective with some of the most prominent artists from the international contemporary scene, such as Marina Abramović, Joseph Beuys and many others.
