This publication is a comprehensive documentation of The 2nd NSK State Folk Art Biennale: NSK Folk Art Rising 1916-2016 that took place during the summer of 2016, and the exhibition Crisis Currency took place in May 2018 at Burren College of Art in Ireland. It explores these two seminal events that brought the NSK State in Time to the remote karst landscape of the Burren in the west of Ireland, and which constituted an ongoing dialogue between the NSK State and this European peripheral zone as coordinated and facilitated by Burren College of Art.

In the circumstances of a dramatic second wave of the epidemic in Slovenia, 18 non-government organizations were recently requested by the government (Ministry of Culture) to vacate their premises in the building at No. 6 Metelkova Street in Ljubljana, in which they have been operating since the mid-1990s.
Since his first contribution to nskstate.com back in 2002, Valnoir was present in almost every NSK State event, designing posters and collaborating with NSK State artists. He has also worked for Laibach, designing all the North Korea Liberation Day visuals, the “Sound of Music”, “Party Songs” and “Kind of Laibach” albums and most recently the music video for “Smrt za Smrt” among other.
Laibach is marking 40 years of existence this year. There has already been series of anniversary events (two ongoing exhibitions and two concerts in Ljubljana), but the main event will be held on October 23rd in ‘Delavski Dom Trbovlje’ – where it actually all started 40 years ago. Unfortunately, due to the increasingly problematic viral situation and thus more stringent Covid-19 restrictions, a physical audience will not be allowed at the venue.
Two SOLD OUT concerts by Laibach are planned as the opening event of the Dragon’s Fest, a traditional, diverse three-day event held on the Castle Hill in Ljubljana.
Posters have a special place in Laibach’s production. Their basic task, which is to attract the attention of the public in the cacophony of the urban environment, was completely mastered by Laibach and then upgraded so that the posters are not only mediators of information about an event, but are also a commentary on happenings in society.
